ok, its been confirm. i officially suck at this whole blog thing. xD

SO! i've decided to turn my blog into a sort of online book.

everyday until i've run out, im going to post a chapter of the story i'm writing at the moment.the chapters are short and they ulternate between two first person charecters.

so, enjoy!

oh and btw, i havnt named it yet, so its just chapters.

Chapter 1

Imogen

No one likes to be alone. Well, no one but me.

I’d never liked to be around people. I was the complete opposite of a ‘people person’. I was anti social, choosing the confinements and safety of my house to club, pubs and bars. I’d had a few friends as a child, but they’d all taught me valuable lessons. Never trust anyone. My only friends now were a small plush teddy bear, a present from my dead-beat father before he’d left, a little wooden box with a brass latch that held some pain medication and little paper diary, almost full. My life revolved around these items, these things that could never leave or betray me.
I suppose I hadn’t always been like this. There was a period in my life were I was content, almost happy, with the places, people and things that surrounded me. I was Imogen Grace Cole, 6 years old. I lived in a nice house with my older brother Damien and my mother Sarah. My father had run off with some young blonde woman when I was barely 7 months old, so I didn’t remember much of him. I had 3 friends, Amiel, Diane and Kimberly. They were in the same class as me. I remember Amiel the most. She was taller then I with waist length white blonde hair, which she always wore in a ponytail at the back of her head, tied with a red and white ribbon. I didn’t remember much about Diane and Kimberly, only that they were both shorter then I was and Kimberly had red hair. It was a good life. If only it had lasted. My brother Damien was 15 years old, over double my age. He had a different father to me, but that never bothered me. One night, he was out with a few of his older friends, people who my mother and I didn’t trust. They were all tall and burly with long greasy hair. You could hear then when they drove past, the loud screeching music turned up as loud as it could go. Even though I didn’t think it at the time, I now know that most of them used or dealt drugs. My mother was terrified of what would happen to Damien when he was with them, and she had every right to worry. One night, the older boys came and collected Damien from the house, which was usual for a Friday night. He never came back. The leader (I guess that’s what you would call him) of their group, Jeremy Peterson, had tried to get Damien to take some kind of drug. When he’d refused, Jeremy told him that he would have to deal the drugs if he still wanted to be around them. Again, Damien refused. Jeremy didn’t like that and had two other boys held Damien’s head under the swamp water until he drowned. His body was found a few weeks later, covered in seaweed and bird droppings. It broke my mother’s heart. I went back to school the week after the funeral, only to find I’d been cast aside by the people I needed most. Kimberly and Diane were simply afraid of me, though I never understood why. Amiel was crueller. When I walked up to her at break, she’d turned to me and scowled.
“We don’t want to talk to you any more. You’re a dead brother girl and dead brother girls are weird. We don’t wanna hang out with a weirdy. Weirdy, weirdy, weirdy!” she pushed me over and I landed on my backside, my eyes wide with surprise. Amiel pointed her finger at me, almost touching my nose and continued with her chant. Everyone turned to look at her and because they were all so young and no one understood, they joined in, pointing and laughing at me. I began to sob and rushed into the classroom, grabbing my little blue school back and ran back outside to the gate. Because we were all so young, the gate was installed with a childproof lock, but I’d figured out how to work it. I unlocked the gate and ran down the street in the direction I thought home was. Of course, being only 6, I got it wrong and soon found myself by the beach, nowhere near my house in city. I sat on the beach and cried for a while, then made my way along the beach, looking for the beachfront houses. After a while, I came across the beach houses, each more beautiful then the last. I walked up to the third house I came across, which I though was the most beautiful one of them all. I remember the house almost perfectly. Instead of brick, the walls were made of limestone or granite and the windows and door were framed with black iron. The door was made of what looked like jarrah wood, dark rich red wood. The railing of the balcony upstairs was the same black iron, twisted into twirls and loops. Big windows took up most of the front of the house. The garden had perfect, soft green grass with no weeds or prickles. Beautiful tall trees lined the white fence and the garden beds were filled with daisies, tulips and daffodils. I walked up the white stone path and rang the doorbell. To my delight, it didn’t make the regular ‘ding dong’ noise often associated with doorbells. Rather, it played the chime of Big Ben on New Years Day. It took about 30 seconds for someone to open the door. I remember the woman who opened the door even more clearly then the beautiful house she lived in. Her thick, chocolate hair came down past her waist and hung in floppy ringlets. Her eyes where bluer then the clear blue ocean she lived by. Her skin wasn’t pale, but it wasn’t tanned either. There was a large, light brown freckle under her left eye and she had smaller, lighter freckles on her cheeks and the bridge of her nose. She was wearing a one piece green and yellow bathing suit that cut away at her hips and a thin, see-through robe of the same colours and design. She smiled down at me and I was blown away by her beauty.
“What’s wrong darling?” she asked, noticing the tear tracks on my cheeks. She bent down to my height and put her hands on my shoulders, half to comfort me and half to keep her balance. She smelt like strawberries.
“Can I use your phone?” I asked, not looking her in the eyes. She smiled and took my sand covered hand.
“Sure love, come on in.” she led me into the beautiful house. The floor was made of the same dark red wood as the door and the walls were either creamy white or mocha brown. The stairs were also made of the same wood and the banister was made of the black iron, swirled and looped in the same way as the balcony railing. She led me into the kitchen, which was also as beautiful as the rest of the house. The fridge was black metal and the counter tops were made of black granite. She handed me a black cordless phone and offered me a seat at the bench. The bench seats were white with a black metal stand.
“Do you know your mummy’s phone number?” she asked, getting something from the fridge. The shock from the beauty of the house had worn off and I was weary now. Did she think I was a weirdy too? I nodded and dialled my home number. Mum answered after only one ring.
“Hello?” her voice sounded frantic.
“Mum? It’s Imogen.” I said, my quiet voice barely making it threw the receiver.
“Oh my god, Imogen! Where are you? Are you okay? What happened? The school rang and said you’d run away and I thought…” her words choked off and I heard her beginning to cry.
“I’m fine mum, can you come get me?” I asked, her sobbing nearly drowning me out. I felt a few more tears slip down my face.
“Of course honey, where are you?”
“uh…” I looked over at the lady, whose name I never learnt.
“What’s wrong?” she asked, placing something in front of me. A bowl of strawberry ice cream with strawberry topping and rainbow sprinkles.
“Can you tell mum where here is?” I asked, passing her the phone. She passed me a little silver spoon in return and began speaking into the receiver. I didn’t pay attention to the conversation she had with my mother, I was to busy with the ice cream. I hadn’t had ice cream in a while and this was a rare treat. The beautiful woman kept looking at me and it made me feel a little shy. Did I have ice-cream on my shirt? Or did she think I was a weirdy? The thought stopped me cold and I dropped the spoon noisily into the bowl. The woman put the phone back on its dock and came over to me, brushing some of my bushy light brown hair behind my ears.
“Your mummy’s on her way. You’re really a long way from home huh?” she asked, half smiling half frowning. I just nodded, again not looking at her.
It was another half an hour before mum arrived. I spent the time sitting in the living room on the big chocolate coloured sofa watching the mid day children’s programs. I must have fallen asleep because I don’t remember leaving the beautiful house or saying goodbye to the beautiful woman, I only remember being inside the car, watching the landscape turn from ocean side, to trees and bushes to cityscape. I watched as the familiar hotdog and ice-cream stands went by until we reached a less populated area of the city. Mum pulled up at our house and as soon as she unlocked the front door, I rushed down to my room.
Everything changed after that day. Mum and I hardly ever spoke anymore and when we did, it was very strained conversation. She couldn’t handle my silence, so she often just ignored me. I went threw the rest of primary school without friends, constantly teased or ignored by Amiel. Kimberly and Diane once tried to make amends, but I didn’t care for it. Then I got to high school and for the first time in years, I thought maybe something would change, that I would get a second chance and for a while, it did. I made a friend, someone who like me, didn’t speak very much. His name was Tim Brennen and he was a year older then me. He was only slightly taller then me and had dirty blonde hair. Both his parents had passed away when he was young, so he knew my pain. It had been good for a while, we could just sit and talk and no one cared about us. And then it all went bad. Tim lost his adoptive mother to cancer and he just couldn’t cope anymore. His funeral was my very own personal hell. From then on, I decided that I wouldn’t bother anymore, no one was worth it, no one was worth the pain. So I cut myself out of everything.

Ebay *frustration!*

howdy one and all

to start off with, I HAVE ANOTHER FOLLOWER! i'm so happy! *tears*

anywayz, moving on

i've been sick the last few days, so what did i do?! i made an ebay profile ^-^ i can now (offically) buy things off ebay.

BUT

has anyone ever noticed just how frustrating ebay can be? i mean, theres been times where i've wanted to rip my hair out and i've only had it for about... *checks clock*... 10 minutes.

is there an automatic biding thing on ebay? because so far i've only bid on a few things. mario kart nintendo 34, mario party (n64) and zelda, again n64. i've bid on about 3 zeldas now because everytime i make a bid, im imidiatly out bidded. i went away for a minute, came back and there'd been no movement on the game, so i made another bid and BAM, out bidded again, so i gave up. now i'm just watching a whole bunch of zelda games and when it comes to about an hour before the bidding closes, i'll bid and if that bastard i**o (thats his user name) bids on it then, then i'll know he's a ROBOT!!!

anyway, i dont have much else to say...

do you guys (my beloved followers) like nintendo 64? do you own one? what games do you like best, or do you prefer nintendo wii? make a comment, let me know, YOUR OPPINIONS ARE IMPORTANT!!! leave a comment (i like comments ^-^)

anywayz,

Driving, Parties and other things I like

howdy all....

still only two followers... thats a little dismal... oh well..

ITS BEEN AGES! since i made my last post, MY BAD!

well, today i wanna talk about some pretty interesting things.

DRIVING!

since i last blogged, i got my learners permit, which means i'm now allowed to DRIVE!! well... only when mums in the car, but so far its going great! i got up to 30kms an hour yesterday and my parking (in the driveway) skills are brill. dad's going to take me out this weekend to a place that hardly anyone goes to that has all the round abouts and turns and signs, so its gonna be fab.

also, this weekend i'm having my *party*. its not much of a party, only having about 8 people over. oh, and kyra's bringing her gay/bi bestie over for an hour... he he... gay guys are awsum.

theres going to be a billion streamers and ballons ^-^ i love streamers.

i love a lot of things... flash mobs for one... flash mobs are bloody amazing. for those of you who dont know what a flash mob is, its when a large group of people (usually about 200 but sometimes up to 2000!) gather together in a location and start to do something at the same time, like dancing or freezing on the spot. they are AMAZING! look some up, just type 'flash mob' into youtube and watch. i recomend the grand central station freeze mob and the belgain sound of music dance mob, both pretty epic

well, im gonna go now, not much else to say

fights are over! (and the traffic light theory)

well howdy folks! (still just you anton... why dont people follow me? WHY!!!... meh)

well, tis offical, the fight with my pally is over. i'm not exactly sure what happened, but it turned out that she was ignoring me coz i thought she was ignoring her! HA!

this just goes to prove how weird teenage girls are. men, dont bother trying to understand us, your brain simply cant take it.

anywayz, now that thats out of the way, i'd like to discuss something very serious. almost everyone will come acorss both of these things at least once in there lifetime.

Taxis and Trafficlights

now, you might say, Amie! you mad woman! what could taxis and trafficlights have in common?

well, i'll tell you.

Taxi drives control the traffic lights.

shocking i know, but its true.

let me prove this to you.

i was in the city recently and i was in a taxi with my family. we were at a set of traffic lights and i noticed something. there was a little box with a little button in the front by the driver. it didnt look terribly important, but i noticed that every once in a while, he pressed it. i shoudl explain somthing. we were at the front, if that makes sense.. meaning we were direcly next to the traffic light, on that little white line that tells you where to stop when your at the front. anyway, the taxi driver pressed this innocent looking button and i notice the traffic to the left of us start to move. i didnt think anything of it, until i saw him press the button again. the traffic to our right began to move. obviously more then just coincidence. then, the little button made a noise and the taxi driver became noticbley irritated, just as our light turned green. now, its my theory that the little button and the white line are connected. when the taxi driver at the front presses the button, another set of lights will change. i think that taxi drivers use this to set off everyone's traffic lights but their own, increasing their price (the meter still goes up while your stationary.. very stupid) and other taxi drivers will try to screw them over by setting off other peoples lights.

and thats my theory

and thats all i have to say ^-^

well, tatty bye devoted followers (ha!)

fights

well, hello people of the interwebs

today, i think i'll talk about fights are just how crappy they are.

i got into a fight with my best friend yesterday, over pretty much nothing.

i have to explain to you... i swear ALOT... i do it unconciously and my friend pointed this out to me, so now i try not to, i really do but i'm not doing so well..

anywayz, i was talking to her on msn when she said that her and a few other friends had decided to stay over my house this weekend (which wasnt allowed, btw) but before i could tell her that, she left. so i called her a bitch (which i never mean and she knows that) i even put a smiley after it so she knew i was joking. about 10 minutes later she comes back on line and says she doesnt like being called a bitch. fair enough. so i told her it was a joke and i was sorry. BUT, then she starting lecturing me about swearing, so again i apologised. then she said that i'd changed and she didnt like who i was anymore and left...

=.=

she wasnt nice about it either. and you could almost feel the insult oozing of every word. she'd written it all gramaticly correct and with big words, like she was trying to make me look bad or trying to make herself seem better then me...

so, now i'm not going to talk to her. not until she explains to me what she means by 'changed'

god, teenage girls are bitchy.....

on top of all of this, she knows my biggest fear is losing her, or any of my friends for that matter... i think i have some kind of attachment issue or something... i'm a bit clingy...

anywayz

im going to go, just writing this makes me feel like crying...

Ciao

nosey mornings

well, hello too all my loyal followers (just anton still)

this morning was GREEEAAT fun. i woke up at four thirty in the morning, after my pajama sleeve pulled my nose ring out =.= well THAT was fun. so, freaking out (as any nearly 16 year old girl would do if her jammies had ripped something out of her nose), i tried to stick it back in. now, for those of you who've never seen a nose ring, picture a normal stud, just a straight piece of metal... well a nose ring has a little kink in the middle, then goes out on an angle. so you have to push the first bit it, then push down and forwards. well, try doing that at 4.30 in the morning while your nose is throbbing in agony (it was even bleeding a little) and your not sure if your doing it right (for all i knew, i was sticking the little kink bit into my brain XD ) so, i i went down to my parents room and woke my mum up (again, as any (slightly hysterical by this point) 16 year old girl would do) well, she takes me into her bathroom and tries to shove the thing threw my nose again, which of course is EXTREMLY painful, which in turn makes mum reluctant to push the stud the rest of the way threw my nose, which makes it even more painful. but in the end, mum loved me enough to ignore my yelling and sobbing and pushed it threw all the way.

thats pretty much it for today..

sick days

Well howdy everyone who reads this (which so far is just you Anton)

this is my 4th day off school this week! hooray for sick days! but do you know what? sneezing isnt so much fun when you got your nose pierced last weekend, no siree. thats right, non existant ladies and singular gentleman, i got my nose pierced last saturday! which is amazing because my dad is really strict... maybe i should explain.

i have a typical family. one mum, one dad, one sister (oh sod, just sneezed. oh the pain!) mum is the not so strict one. mum was born in extremely tiny town central (aka, the middle of no were.. or i think so anyway)and she's a FAB cook. she works in a cafe, so she has to be XD anywayz, my dad was born in the UK one of the bigger cities (this is were my love of cities and busyness comes from.. even though he hates cities...) and he and mum met over there, then stupidly decided to move to austrlia when i was two. yerp, i said it. I AM A UK..ian!! XD anywayz, my dad was pretty big over there, he even made an apperance in corrination street (the british verison of home and away for those who dont know) as the mail boy.. for about ten seconds, but still, TV! then he came to australia and became a DJ, which was BLOODY AWSUM! he doesnt do any of that anymore and he (stupidly and annyoingly) sold all his DJing gear.. but he left the CD's, which is good. my sister is a younger one, shes...12? this year i think.. god thats bad, dont remeber how my sister is... anyway, she short, grumpy nearly 24/7 and a bit of a bitch (at the moment anyway) but i still lovers her to pieces. she has the most adorable angry face ^-^

anyway, dad's pretty strict. it took me a year and a half to convince him to left me have my nose pierced as my 16th birthday presant and SUCCESS! (oh sod, another sneeze. PAIIIIINN!!) he even let me get it done a month early.. well we were going to the city anyway and the piecings are less likely to get infected up there.. aparently.

so anyway, back to sick days.

sick days are great fun. mum and dad both work so i get the house to myself and because i'm sick, i dont have to do the dishes or vacum the floors or wash the dog.. even thou he smells REEEAAALLLYY bad... i just get to sit down in front of our newly found foxtels and watch the comedy shows and mythbusters to my hearts content ^-^ (oh for sods sake, someone pass the tissues!!)

another good thing about sick days is you dont have to wear bloody school uniform. in fact, you dont even have to get out of your pajamas if you dont want to. i spent all yesterday and the day before in my pajamas... then mum made me take them off. oh well. right now i've got a pajama top on, stripy wollen stocktings, long shorts and giant ugg boots on. toasty warm ^-^ and it helps that the at the moment, the sun in coming threw the office window. i love my ugg boots. they come up to just over my knees and they lace up at the front and the inside is full of... fluffy... XD

... my cat is looking at me over the computer moniter.. shes so cute ^-^

well... i think i've run out of things to say.........

toodle pip!

(SODDING SNEEZES!!)

my first blog..

well, hi anybody who reads this...

(just a note, i am a horrible speller, so sorry in advance for my bad spelling.)
my name is amie, i'm 16 (nearly) i was born in the uk and now I live in australia in a tiny town (to my standards anyway...)

i’m short (well… short by my friends standards anyways.. if my friends are normal height 16 year olds, then I fit under all their chins… but then a lot of my friends are just stupid tall) and a little bit on the chubby side (although, i’ve come to like my pudgy body over the last few months.. makes a great pillow and i love having people lay on me!) i dont fit into any genre of anything, i am what I am. i am extremely open about peoples sexualtitys.. infact a fair few of my friends are lesbians and I really don't like homophobes.. GAYS ARE PEOPLE TOO!!

i have a very eclectic (i think thats the right word..) taste in music, but i dont really like screamo too much. my favoutite artists are The Wombats, Biffy Clyro and Newton Faulkner (dont worry if you havnt heard about the first two, not many people have and IF you have, i congratulate you on your great taste in music)

i like photography but that doesnt mean i'm very good at it... even though last year, a photo that me and my friend did together (she took, i edited) got into the final of a nation wide comptition. best. email. ever.

i dont have many plans for the future.. so far my plans only go as far as about 2012... one of those years i'm still in school, so i'm pretty screwed at the moment.

(hey, guess what! i just found the spell check button! hooray for spell check!)

as for school at the moment, i'm in year 11, doing TAFE links, which is go to school 4 days a week, then TAFE on fridays. i really, really, really, reaaaaallllyyy hate my school. there are two public highschools were i live and the other one was only opened not last year, the year before. our school is the school were no one can be expeled, because they've already been expeled from every other school in town. our school is covered in gates and they've recently installed security cameras.... -.- i really hate my school... also, the TAFE links course is pretty much considered the 'dumb class' of the upper school. i'm in ALL the lowest classes. english, maths (which doesnt bother me, i hate maths), careers and enterprise (which is pretty much a 'do what ever the hell you want, so long as you hand in some crappy work once in a while and you'll still pass' class, photography, which is pretty much the highlight of my day, and AIT (applied information technology... computing pretty much... its actually a pretty cool class, even if the teacher weighs more then a blue whale and is very... feminine...). i cant stand my english class.. my english class is the lowest of the lowest classes and we're not even doing english... WE'RE DOING PROBLEM SOLVING!!! stupid teacher, needs to get a grip and teach us something interesting.

anywayz, even though i really hate school, i really really REALLY look forward to break times, when i can see all my friends. i have some of the best friends EVER. i'd like to think i'm a good friend, i never forget a birthday and things like that, but sometimes i feel like i'm just using them and when they really need me, i dont help.... i dont know.... but i really do love them. infact, having them hate me is pretty much my ultimate fear... Anywhozer

(hey guess what! my spell check is broken D: )

umm.. what else can i say.... uh... well, i play piano but i'm not that good at it. i like to sing, but i'm always getting sick....

the sadest things are my goals in life.. they are soooo tiny that sometimes, i wonder why i bother, but anywayz... i have 5... no 6... i think 6... major goals in life.

1) Learn Spanish
2) Live in the UK with family for a year (there are alot of spanish people around the UK)
3) Live in the city with my friend holly and our gay best friend (who we havnt met yet..)
4) Learn French
5) Live in Monreal (a bilingual city, i might add... ps, does anyone know how to put the little 'chckka' over the a? the (`)???)
6) Work at the Montreal Comedy Festival
7) Attend a Mardi Gras

... thats all i can think of...

on to the topic of guys (yes, the one topic we all dread... occationally)
in my 16 years on this planet, i have only had 1 boyfriend, which i'm perfectly happy about. it was nothing special, let me tell you. i liked him, he liked me, we dated for 3-4, then everything about him annoyed me and i didnt like him anymore AND theres no point in staying with someone once you dont feel the same anymore, there really isnt, its all just pain and heart ache, so i broke up with him. he cried.... i felt awful.... but i dont anymore coz guess what? 2 days later, he's dating a girl he 'hated'. now, that pissed me off. you see, while we were together, every morning it was a text saying 'good morning beautiful' and every night 'goodnight, sweet dreams, i love you' which i thought was very cute. BUT and this is a pretty big but ladies and gentlemen, i'd never told anyone that wasnt family that i loved them, so of course i was hesitant to say it... until he tried to pressure me into saying it. so, in fear that he would leave me, i did. about two weeks later we broke up. when i found out that he was dating 'her', i had a go at him. do you know what he said? ' i never loved you'. well, THANKS A MILLION LOSER! just take my 'iloveyou-ginity' like it was nothing... *sigh* so after that, i decided guys were too much trouble and i've been single ever since! hooray for single-dom! although, since then i have had more guy trouble, sadly :( being asked out by the school man-whore (who also happened to be one of my best friends) well, THAT wasnt awkward XD . then, not long ago, i started to like someone again... only to have him date.... my best friend... but i dont mind, in fact, i told her that i liked him but still encouraged her to say yes to him. anywayz, she's happy and thats all that matters..

ok... now i've really run out of things to say... so TOODLES!!!

Amie xx

ps, if your reading this.. pleeeease let me know!! i'd love comments.. or anything really.. can you get comments on this site? i dont know, i only found it today XD
